Et perspektiv udefra, set med fremmede øjne (holdes på engelsk) What differentiates one nation's culture from another's? What is the cultural heart of danskhed? Taking my starting point from the Danish author Benny Andersen, I shall try to discover what, if anything, is distinctly Danish about Danishness. Looking at everything from the Danish language itself, to food, to manners and politeness (and other things, too), I hope to demonstrate that putting one's finger on the cultural essence of any nation is not straightforward.
